Welcome to The Happy Book Reviewer. I know, another book review blog, right? Right! And let me tell you why. I’ve noticed a couple trends over the last few years. First, more and more book reviews are falling prey to the fast food syndrome that has overtaken much of our society. What I mean by that is, ratings are becoming the thing. I realize it is easier to click the like button or color a few stars than it is to write a few sentences saying what you liked about a book, and we absolutely appreciate them, but take it from an author, reviews are our lifeline. Sure the ratings help, but written words help us with word of mouth advertising. Also, if an author happens to read the reviews, they get an idea what their fans like and don’t like. I

Secondly, some reviewers can be down right mean when they do leave words. I don’t need to say any more on that.

I love books. I love great stories. I’m here to write words about the books I read, and be nice about it. My grandma used to say, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all.” No, I’m not going to write dishonest reviews, but I do intend on finding great things to say about the books I read.

I will warn you though, my reading tastes lean toward romance. However, I occasionally read other genres. Some of my posts will lean toward a simple, “this is what I like” while others will be more analytical. Also, as I progress, I hope to provide interviews with the authors whose books I read.
